Grief and Freedom is my latest photography project.
All the photographs were taken in Brighton, Hove, Gatwick and Lewes after the death of my parents.
My mother died in December 2023, and my father in March 2025.
Almost everyone becomes an orphan one day.
As an adult orphan, I have a different flavour to my life now.I feel fundamentally changed.
I would like this project to resonate with anyone who has been through the same experience.

Ultimately, it is a meditation on the contradictory sensations that I felt, and still feel.
There is a space between how we live in this material world, and our emotional life, where we have to incorporate big experiences, often alone.I hope you can feel a sense of peace and connection as you look at my photographs.
If you can, please visit the exhibition in person. In my solo shows, you will have the opportunity to write a testimony of your own experience, if there is something you would like to share.
I am gathering these testimonies for a future art project.
